Fra Angelico was a monk and an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance, described by Vasari in his Lives of the Artists as having "a rare and perfect talent". He earned his reputation primarily for the series of frescoes he made for his own friary, San Marco, in Florence.
Angelico is the third in the Italian series of yoke sweaters, designed over lockdown.
This long-sleeved sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up. It uses a simple twisted stitch cable pattern on the main body and sleeves, with a colourwork patterned yoke. It has no waist shaping but it does have approx.1” of positive ease.
